About Brain Injury

Understanding your brain injury

Since its formation in 1989, our organisation has been providing support, social rehabilitation, advocacy, information and education resources to the Palmerston North community and wider Central Districts region.

One of our major strengths and achievements is that we have continued to provide a free and unique service to our community for over 30 years. We have supported and advocated on behalf of many local clients since our incorporation. In that time we have also provided valuable information about brain injury and its effects to many community members. We have increased our services to local agencies and educational institutions to provide education and resources about brain injury's effects, prevalence and need for prevention.

To provide our services to the local community, Brain Injury Central Districts Liaison Service has built up a wide ranging and comprehensive network of relationships with local government and community agencies, medical, rehabilitation and educational providers and members of the Central Districts public who support and access our services.
